DU Death-toll tops 11,000 Nationwide Media Blackout keeps US public ignorant about this important story.

The nuclear issue has always been stooped in propaganda, if you've seen the film 'Atomic Cafe' you'll know what I'm talking about. I think people's views are being shaped yet again by television programs such as a recent documentary I viewed on SBS about climate change. It clearly advocated nuclear energy as a safe alternative to coal. Previously, on SBS, I had watched a documentary on the use of DU weapons by the US military which has resulted in birth defects and cancer to those exposed to the radiation from both the use and handling of these weapons.
Depleted Uranium is the radio-active trash that comes from Nuclear Power plants. We are told it is a very effective weapon when used in artillery as it is extremely dense and pierces through tanks and buildings before exploding. What we are not told is what governments have known for decades happens next (if you're impatient google DU Question 11). Also, what is not made clear is that there would be no DU weapons program if there was no Nuclear Energy program. It really is all the same program.
The way nuclear issues are being reported recently leads me to believe a DU media ban seems to be imposed in Australia also. But I hope that any journalist, even as to discredit some of the information provided by these three speakers at "The Trojan Hoarse of Nuclear War" conference (I personally find that a bit difficult), will see the importance of reporting these issues and bringing them to the publics attention. And to stop DU media ban.
