Galloway Wins against Western propaganda
by Simon Willace
Sunday December 12, 2004 at 08:40 AM
The daily telegraph destroyed the political career of a British minister last year by printing a series of articles based purely upon lies.
A collection of Documents reported by the paper, to have been uncovered during the early days of the illegal invasion of Iraq, named the politician as a financial benefactor paid directly by the Saddam regime in contravention of the UN sanctions bought against Iraq between 1991 and 2003. It was further alleged by the newspaper that Galloway received a payment of 350 000 pounds annually to launch an unsuccessful anti sanctions campaign on behalf of Saddam during the blockade years of the war, in total Mr Galloway was alleged to have received Millions of pounds. The authors and their employer of the falsified documents were not revealed in the libel case bought against the Telegraph by Mr Galloway. However it is assumed the documents were carefully designed to discredit anyone who opposed the deceptions to go to war. Not only did the publication of the documents end the political career of the Labour Minister it also resulted in criminal charges against Mr Galloway. These criminal charges are now under review as questions are being asked about the role the government played in the "Galloway Affair". Mr Galloway risked everything to prove his innocence, and was successful resulting in an award of 1.2 million pounds sterling in compensation. After his success Mr Galloway said “the documents were either forgeries or they were doctored, but they were in any case fakes” Mr Galloway was approached by the owners of the telegraph who offered to print a retraction to settle the dispute out of court, but he declined the offer, as the damage had already been done and the offer was made only when it seemed obvious that the telegraph was about to lose the case. The judge Mr Justice Eady said it was a classic case of the print and be dammed Galloway will stand as a RESPECT candidate in the next general election proudly supporting the new parties stand against the War in Iraq.

Thank God Mr Galloway lives in a country where the rule of western style law prevails.
Where an individual can take on the might of the western media.
And win.
Thank God for western justice systems like the UK's

"....the illegal invasion of Iraq...."
Simon, you are such a cack. Since when have you become such a stickler for the niceties of constitutional due process?
Normally with you lot it's "Smash the State" here, and "Rise up and overthrow the Government" there.
We're always being reminded how "democracy is just a sham", and even elected governments are just "fronts for capitalist exploiters", blah, blah, blah.
But at the precise moment some thug Fascist tyrant like Saddam Hussein gets toppled, it's "Oh dear. That's illegal."
Oh well - he'll get a fair trial I am sure. Or at any rate a lot more fair than Margaret Hassan or any of the thousands Saddam sent to the execution pit.
And they're having an election in Iraq, soon, too.
Hey, maybe a Socialist Party candidate will get elected to a Baghdad suburban Council just like in Yarra!!
LOL

‘You are such a cack’, a what? a mack, whack, jack, dack sack???, I just can't get upset about this and I’ve tried.
Your team has to get away from this hypocrisy, its making you sick.
Spin was saying just the other day, that it’s perfectly alright to torture people because Saddam did it, and Murder Iraqis because they would have died under Saddam anyway.
He didn’t mention the sexual and indecent assaults but I know him, so I know he would like the Idea of that as well.
And now we don't have to worry any more because the Iraqi’s are getting a democracy just like ours, so the right wing tell us, like the Zimbabweans I wonder? Or something similar to Afghanistan’s democratically controlled Kabul Car park?.
Green line democracy, sham
I’m so impressed with the right wing attempt so far.
This is what has been offered to Iraq
No taxation or representation, No withdrawal of American troops No opposition to American rule will be standing in forthcoming elections Total control over Iraq’s media
Sorry ‘nobody’ I can't be bothered with your type anymore…your war has been lost, you represent a lie…your worst fears are realized…its Vietnam 2
All this While America supports a dictator twice as bad as Saddam in Uzbekistan.
Question for you right wing fool.
Is this true?
Members of The current interim government in Iraq gave sold and supplied the evidence of WMD to America prior to 2003, either while in the employ of the US secret service or as members of political opposition in exile. That’s the president and the farther and son team who were running Saddam’s execution trail who are now wanted in Jordan over bank fraud charges.
It’s all going badly 87 attacks against troops, 1300 dead and George bush hasn’t even been to one funeral. Shame…give up your support and follow the 80% who said No War for Iraq’s Oil!!, remember that?from the voice of the people in our democracy? Representational?, yeah of GWB

No your quite right spin, you hide your self behind other people words because you’ve got nothing to say.
All you posts excuse the actions of right wing misadventure and you fail, every time.
Iraq was better off under Saddam Hussien.
You cannot stand by your own claims, you have no view, no opinion and no name, and therefore you have lost credibility, just like the evil you represent.
Here’s the stupidest comment I have read to date, but I like it nonetheless.
You cannot hope to fly without a left and a right wing.
You just fell to the ground.

Galloway 's election bid slammed by pat c Monday, Dec 13 2004, 11:33am international / elections / other press
George Galloway's decision to stand for election in east London has been criticised by Ken Livingstone. Mr Galloway, who was expelled from Labour for comments about the Iraq war, is to contest the seat in Bethnal Green and Bow for the Respect coalition. The mayor said by standing against sitting politician Oona King he was simply targeting the wrong politician. Mr Livingstone said: "If he is so upset about Iraq why not stand against Tony Blair, Geoff Hoon or Jack Straw? I don't see what George's problem is with one of (the only) two black women in parliament," he said.
Mr Galloway's party, Respect, has already proved popular in the constituency, topping the poll in the European elections in June and winning a by-election. Bethnal Green and Bow has a large Asian community which amounts to just under 40% of the electorate - many of whom are anti war.
Mr Galloway announced he would stand in east London in the next general election after winning libel damages from the Daily Telegraph over claims he received money from Saddam Hussein's regime in Iraq.
Pants on fire.

Where are the Human Shields when we could use them by spinifex
Most of what spin says are cuts and pastes they are lies taken out of context misrepresentations and designed to give crediblility to deceptions, it is how he works, if you repeat the same lie often enough you get to resemble US forign policy.
For instance, because saddam lied so much and tried to decieve the UN over WMD the US was forced to invade.
Only problem was saddam never lied and did not decieve, but that doesnt seem to penetrate the spinefex smoke screen.
Yet I have told no lies, but you have to read between the lines as spinney writes.

Spinney must spend an awful lot of time on this to justify his view that if the insurgents can kill civilians then its alright for America to kill them as well.
Spin it would give you more credibility if you only used one name, that way your imaginary support group would vanish.
